편백나무의 장점
편백나무는 다른 수종에 비해 월등히 피톤치드 성분이 많은 나무로 알려져있으며,
실내공기 정화에 도움을 주는 탈취 ·방향 · 가습기능 등의 장점도 있습니다.
피톤치드의 효능
위 밝혀진 피톤치드의 효능 이외에도 2018년 12월 서울대학교 농업생명과학대학 농생명과학공동기기원에 자사의 저온건조 편백나무(히노끼) 시편을 분석의뢰한 결과 기억력 증대와 집중력 향상에 도움을 주는 물질로 알려져 있는알파피넨은 1981㎎/㎥ 로 함께 분석의뢰한 동일한 양의 소나무 22.63㎎/㎥ 대비 87배정도 높은 수치가 나왔고, 아토피와 피부질환에 효과가있는것으로 알려진 베타피넨은 36.6㎎/㎥로 소나무 0.89㎎/㎥ 대비 41배정도 높은 수치가 나왔으며, 피넨·시모넨 등 수목이 해충과 각종 균으로부터 자신을 방어하기 위해 공기 중에 발산하는 천연 항균물질인 피톤치드가 소나무 대비 월등히 높은 수치가 나왔습니다.
